We are delighted to announce the upcoming pop-up exhibition, ‘Imaginary of the future', an open series of photos and objects, mise en scene by our VNR resident and artist, Roberto Fabra, and taking place at VN Residency from 10 - 13 November.
The artist invites the audience to pause, reflect, and explore the concept of uniqueness, in the same way as each one of us is the unique result of the chemicals which we find in the whole universe.
"For this exhibition I decided that I would present 2 lines of my visual research: photography and objects.
In each of these lines the processes and materials are differ- ent, but the motivation for both, which is the motivation for most of my production, is the Future. For me, the mysterious and unknown aspects of the future are fascinating, because anything can be.
My interest about the unknown began when I was a little boy, dreaming of being an astronaut as young boys do when look- ing at the sky on a clear summer night.
For a long time, I have been interested in the human presence and at the same time very impressed by how magical the hu- man condition is. We talk, we change through the years, we make music, and we somehow discovered that from a grain of wheat we can make bread.
From science I discover many facts that help me when devel- oping ideas. As an artist, I need to communicate the feelings these ideas bring. This coming and going between these two subjects excites me to the point of happiness." - Roberto Fabra
